Dean Gibson Australia
Dean began his apprenticeship at the age of 14 in a traditional country bakery in Australia. He has worked with some of Australia’s most prominent restaurant and pastry chefs, including Rockpool Group founded by Chef Neil Perry, Patissier Adriano Zumbo, and Chef Serge Dansereau.
More recently, he has participated both as a contestant and as a judge in pastry competitions such as the Coupe du Monde de la Patisserie held in Lyon, the Australian Chocolate Masters, the Pastry World Cup held at Sigep in Italy, the Asian Pastry Cup and the International Patisserie Grand Prix in Tokyo. Today, Dean teaches at Australia's government-owned TAFE (Training and Further Education) vocational training schools, where he passes on his experience and expertise to tomorrow’s generation of chefs.
