27.09.10

Ryan Stevenson is the new “Belgian Chocolate Master 2010 / 2011”. He will defend his country during the “World Chocolate Masters 2011” world finals in Paris.

Ryan Stevenson (76%) won thanks to his chocolate showpiece: ‘The Come Back’, his moulded praline: ‘A bit of shunshine’, his coated pralines: ‘Heart of Love’, his entremets: ‘Tonatiuh’ The god-warrior’ and his plated dessert : ‘The Discovery’.

Second place went to Philippe Lafont (72%) and third place to Nicolas Arnaud (68%).
Julie Vanborm (66%), the first ever female participant and the youngest in the competition also made quite an impression. She won the “Public award” together with Ryan Stevenson.

The four contestants have performed impressively, given the very limited time available. Their high quality creations have emerged through the combination of creativity and craftsmanship of these exceptional candidates.
