Ewald Knauf Germany
Ewald started his career as a chef at the Düsseldorf Hilton
hotel, where he completed his apprenticeship. Today, he is head
teacher at the "Konditorenmeisterschule" in Cologne, Germany’s
renowned culinary training school, where he has taught more than
600 skilled master confectioners. As a master confectioner he has
competed in some well-known culinary competitions, including the
“Kochkunstausstellung”, where he won a gold medal in Frankfurt and
a silver medal in Berlin. He won second prize at the Confectioner's
World Championship in Stuttgart in 1993 and in 1996 he won the
Special Award at the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie.
