Chi Hsien Cheng’s dream as a young boy  was to become a Pastry Chef!

Chi Hsien Cheng developed his passion for pastry while studying at the National Kaohslung University. Highly inspired by his parents who both worked in the food industry, Chi Hsien Cheng’s dream as a young boy was to to become a Pastry chef. Chi Hsien Cheng takes every opportunity to participate in competitions to improve and build on his skills and experience.

After his studies, Chi Hsien Cheng worked in luxury hotels, small business hotels and pastry boutiques. These experiences have helped him to grow and develop his culinary and management skills.

Since 2006, Chi Hsien Cheng talents have been recognized and awarded. He won the Silver Medal for the Chocolate Show Piece category at the 2008 Taiwan Gateaux Technique Contest and won Third place in both Petit Fours and the Cake categories at the FHA 2008 Culinary Challenge in Singapore.

Chi Hsien Cheng never stops improving and developing his skills. He immediately signed up for the World Chocolate Masters Taiwan National Selections. He has been practicing every day after work. He was thrilled to be crowned as the Taiwan Chocolate Master in December 2010 and will now represent Taiwan to compete with the rest of the talented chocolate masters.
