Professional experience
Sergi Vela is Responsible for the Pastry area of the "Escola
d'Hosteleria i Turismo" in Barcelona.
He built up his professional experience in different pastry shops
that are members of "Relais Dessert" like Totel in Elda (Alicante),
Baixas and Comas in Barcelona. He has been working close to the
best known Spanish Pastry Chefs like Paco Torreblanca, Enric Rovira
and Christian EscribĂ , these two last being placed in Barcelona.
He was responsible for the Confectioners area in Vives Pastry
located as well in Barcelona.
He also improved his training in the Restoration area working at
Martin Berasategui Restaurant (3 stars Michelin) and being Pastry
Chef at the Drolma Restaurant in Barcelona (1 star Michelin).
Awards and competitions
He won several times the second place in the International
Competition of Show Chocolate Pieces.
